Zomi-Chin Service

THE ZOMI-CHIN BROADCAST AND ITS TARGET AUDIENCE

Zomi-chin Staffs L-R: Mr. Stephen, Mr. Hubert, Mr. Lawrence, Fr. Mark and Ms. Lucy

To evangelize the people of Manipur, India and Chin Hills, Myanmar was the aim of Zomi-Chin Service when it started broadcast programs on August 5, 1996.

The Service continues to attract more listeners by way of promoting their program in various regions of their target areas. It also distributes promotional materials to its listeners as way of appreciation and to encourage them to listen more.

On the average, Zomi-chin Service receives 160 letters a month mostly coming from young listeners. Eighty three percent (83%) of the listeners are from the rural areas. Most of the beneficiaries of Zomi-chin Service are single males and females, whose age range from 16-20. They are students who finished or in their secondary level of education and are mostly Protestant in religion.

Details of the Programme:

Time: Daily 7.00 A.M to 7.27 A.M
Meter Band: Shortwave Meterband 19
