The seven days accredited advanced Biblical counseling seminar (24th Feb – 2nd March, 2010) organized by Glocal Volunteers concluded successfully yesterday. Altogether 36 participants from various churches, NGOs and institution of Zokhopi participated. One each from Moreh and Saikul too participated. 23 participants qualified to receive the accredited certificate from Person to Person from Institute of Christian Counselling, Secunderabad which is recognized by Association of Christian Counselor – South Asia.

Mr. Samson Gandhi, Executive Director and Principal Trainer gave away the certificates. The training was also marked by the formation and launching of Hometown Christian Counselors Fellowship (HCCF). Altogether 25 participants are signatory to the formation of HCCF representing various churches, NGOs and instituion. It was formed primarily to meet the counseling need of the town and a platform to network and partner for Christian Counselors. Pastor Th. Mangthianlal (Glocal Volunteers), Pastor H. Jamkhanpau (Local Pastor, Central EBCC) and William (Love in Action) were selected to coordinate the next meeting. Facilitators of the training from PtP included Samson Gandhi, Stephen Hawkins and Durbha Krishna. Many of the participants looked forward for Level – 2 training.
