Ramkimmawi killed in accident

Lamka, Feb 9: Four year old Ramkimmawi daughter of Jimmy R Fimate was killed in an accident at about 12:10 pm near Thingkangphai along the Tedim road.

The accident occurred when the father and mother of the deceased were heading towards Saipum village on a Kinetic Honda bearing number KAQ -7959 along the Tedim road and were stopped by the police at Thingkangphai BCM area at a very inconvenient place according to the R Fimate the father.

The deceased baby was seated in the middle of father and mother said the sources.
Fimate said just then a DI Truck bearing registration number MN-05 /2735 coming from behind knocked their vehicle from back leading the child to fall down on the ground on the side of the truck and was run over by the rear tyre.

The father and the mother hired an auto rickshaw and rushed their daughter to hospital but to no avail, said the father.

They were going to Saipum Village to bid farewell to their in-laws as they were to go to Shillong to admit the child to a school.
