Telangana State to be created, finally
Welcome to Telangana, the newest State of India to be created soon. The Central government in New Delhi on Wednesday night conceded to the demand for a separate Telangana state for which the process will be initiated and an appropriate resolution will be moved in the Andhra Pradesh assembly shortly. The decision was taken at a late night meeting Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah after two rounds of consultations in the Congress Core Committee with Sonia Gandhi and senior cabinet colleagues.
Telengana region, often also written as Telingana or Telengana, means “land of Telugus”; like the rest of Andra Pradesh, the absolute majority are Telugu speaking people. However, the people in the region have their own distinctive culture and identity.
The newest state in India, Telengana will include Andra Pradesh’s northwestern area covering nine districts of Warangal, Adilabad, Khammam, Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Rangareddy, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Medak, and the state capital, Hyderabad.
The new land-locked state will be bordered by 6 States, namely, from clockwise, Maharashtra, on northwest and north; Chhatisgarh in the North, Orissa, in the northeast, Andra Pradesh in the East and South, and Karnataka in the West.
Telangana region accounts for 119 of the 294 assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh and 17 of the 42 Lok Sabha seats.
How big is Telangana state?
In land area, Telangana with 1,14,800 sq.km size will be among big states. It will be bigger than states like West Bengal (88,752 km), Bihar (99,200 sq.km) and slightly smaller than Tamil Nadu, 130,058 sq.km.
Andra Pradesh will be reduced to 160,808 sq.Km.
What is the Population of Telangana?
According to the latest figure available (2001), Telangana has about 23,873,307 (24 millions) of people, out of the total 76 million populations of Andra Pradesh.
The fate of Hyderabad:
Hyderabad could well become a Union Territory like Chandigarh, and it may become the capital of both Andra Pradesh and Telengana.
What about Reyaseeleema Region?
Andra Pradesh is made up of three regions, Andra, the most prosperous region along the East Coast, Telengana in the northwest and Reyaseeleema Region, in the Southwest, comprising four important districts – Kurnool, Cuddapah, Anantapur and Chittoor; and parts of Prakasam and Nellore districts. This could be still another problem. See the map below:

Andhraites were separated from Madras stating self respect and exploitation as the reason.
When Telangana wants to be self reliant on the same lines, Andhraites do not want to forego their supremacy and domination. Hence they are running a proxy agitation in the name of Unity. Actual fact is different. When state gets the budget for 23 districts, entire fund will be hogged by 13 Andhra and Seema districts. GO:1845 is a typical example. Irrigation facilities are one other major reason for the leeches not ready to forego the authority in Telangana.
Andhra leaders are projecting a bad picture of Telangana and instigating poor people in Andhra and Rayalaseema. If a state formed why will the people have leave a place. In fact Hyderabad has migrants from different parts of the country and purchased properties and doing business here. They do not have any apprehensions. But the people in Seema and Andhra who did not even invest in Hyderabad have mis-apprehensions. Politicians are the culprits for this ongoing mishap. They are doing this to secure their properties and vested interests.
How people from Andhra and Seema can deicide the fate of Telangana people. Andhra and Seema wants to marry Telangana forcibly. Forced marriages can not be executed.
Telangana folks have decided in favour of self governance. State has to be formed.
Jai Telengana
